Opera browser and the "can't power up after shutdown" problem... topic

Hi everyone!

I'm about to lose my head right now about a problem which I've finally been able to isolate, and I'm very much puzzled at my findings...

Here's a bit of backstory:

LG G3 D852 flashed to D852G
Running CM12.1 (May 4th nightly)
Most recent GApps

So!

Whenever I install the Opera web browser, I cannot power up my phone (from the PWR button) after shutting it down. The battery will not charge either. I have to remove the battery and put it back while holding PWR to get the phone to power up.
When I uninstall the Opera app, all is back to normal. PWR button behaves as expected and I can charge the battery without problems.

And the funniest part: it is CONSISTENT!! I literally just installed/uninstalled Opera about 10 times in a row to make sure, attempting to reboot between each try, and whenever Opera was installed (and working!), phone couldn't power up after a shutdown.

So I'm asking anyone running CM12.1.... please..... install Opera and give this a try!!! I can't believe my eyes right now that an app (and Opera of all apps!) could make my phone refuse to power up...

Now, how to find the cause of this?!?!?
