I am looking for a rom that will allow me to run Private Internet Access VPN on the phone and access the Internet from the mobile hotspot. Also switch radio bands - I used to be able to switch to wcdma when the data connection was slow, and it would sometimes improve. Now it's calls only, no data unless I use 4g or automatic. I realize att may have disabled wcdma on my local tower. Even so, switching bands from automatic to 4g sometimes triples the speed in my area even though the phone always lies and says 4g. As of now, the vpn kills the hotspot. I am willing to downgrade from android 4.3 if necessary. All I want this phone for is tether and I want the vpn on the phone. Thanks to anyone smart enough to figure this out and who cares to answer.
