CM11 otter with Google package topic

Hi All,

Installed the following on my Otter Kindle 1st Gen:
twrp-2.7.1.0-otter
cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-otter
gapps-kk-20140606-signed


all is OK, in that Cynogenmod is working, but none of the apps that require google services do not work (eg. youtube). Google Play Store is also not installed.
I have tried reinstalling gapps in TWRP but its the same issue.

any suggestions?
