[Q] Updating to 23.1.A.0.726 topic

Alright I have gone through this thread but I can't seem to find the answer to my question http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...guide-t3085893

Here is my situation:
I'm currently running 23.0.1.A.0.167 which is rooted
I just received a notification from to update to 23.1.A.0.726 (OTA)

Question:
Do i have to flash 23.1.A.0.726 then apply it or can I just download the 23.1.A.0.726 OTA update and this should be rooted?
I'm guessing if I have to flash 23.1.A.0.726 then apply it, this will wipe my data (I know I have to back up either way)?
