This is new behavior since NK1. If I have a WLAN saved, WiFi can't be turned off if the phone is in range. It will turn off briefly, then immediately back on.
If I'm out of range of a configured network, it will turn off. If I reboot into Safe Mode, it can be turned off. I thought Safe Mode just keeps user apps from loading - I've checked with TB, and all the user apps are ones I was using previously with NK1.
I've frozen a bunch of stuff with TB, but haven't been able to ID what's causing this. I'd guess it's a Verizon thing, since they want you to pull data via WiFi in preference to cellular.
WiFi/Menu/Advanced/Always Allow Scanning is unchecked, as is Smart Network Switch.
Just checking if others see the same behavior, and if anyone knows how to disable it. Searching shows that some Sprint phones have a "Connection Optimizer" which may affect similar behavior and can be turned off. So such setting in OC1.
