[Q] Currently running xxx how can I save this current version/state before updating? topic

Currently running 11.O-XNPHO5Q, how can I save this version or 'state' before updating? (in case I have issues or don't like CM12)

FYI- Have not rooted or unlocked bootloader on my OPO.
